Abstract
This paper extends the Wiener filter theory to the design of an optimum multirate digital filter with emphasis on its application to Interpolation. An efficient recursive procedure, based on linear predictive deconvolution, is introduced to replace the matrix inversion required in solving the Wiener-Hopf equation. This reduces the amount of computation and thus improves numerical stability. A detailed error analysis is included.
