Abstract :
The paper outlines a generalised method of harmonic analysis which enables the performance of a cage motor with a stator winding fault to be predicted. The method is verified using experimental measurements made on a ten-pole motor, for the particular instances of a phase-to-neutral fault and a phase-to-phase fault.
