Abstract :
A waveguide structure for use in optical head systems is presented. The fabricated structures are 10×2×2 mm3 and are <0.2 g in mass. The waveguides propagate data and feedback signals for tracking and focusing. The proper generation of these signals and their sensitivity to the accompanying imaging optics are demonstrated
