Abstract :
"It takes a village to raise a child" is a popular and often quoted saying these days that has been the touchstone of numerous social projects. Based on my experience this fall and based on what I see happening in the engineering world, I suggest that we can revise the concept to be ??It Takes a Team.?? It??s easy to talk about teams and teamwork but it??s another matter to recognize and adapt to the reality that most of what we do depends on the support and influence of other team members. In this issue are several articles that emphasize aspects of teamwork and collaboration.
