Abstract :
Firestop endurance tests for cable penetration seals and their results are described. The tests were designed to comply with requirements of the ANI/MAERP Standard Test Method (1976). The penetration seals were constructed of silicone room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) foam, bulk ceramic fibre, fibre board, cellular concrete, and Marinite panels coated with Flamemastic. A number of different representative designs were qualified.
