Abstract :
An adaptive algorithm to enhance the teletraffic performance of a city street microcellular network having TDMA/FCA links is described. The algorithm controls the handovers to equalise the load at the base station (BS), as well as maintaining link quality. An increase in channel utilisation of 37% for a blocking probability of 2% is achieved compared with the non-equalised BS loading method
