Abstract
In a recent paper by Hansen and Woodyard it was pointed out that there are an infinite number of arrays that radiate mostly along the ground and which do not (necessarily) involve high radiating elements. Methods of design were given for two classes of such arrays. The present paper completes the solution of this design problem and gives approximate formulas for the gain and number of array elements of all of these arrays not treated in the previous paper. It is concluded that the two classes previously treated are superior to the intermediate types here considered.
