Abstract :
Analysis of the rainfall rate and attenuation exceedences statistics measure at the University of Technology in Lae, Papua New Guinea, has led to the proposal of a new model to derive the effective rain-cell diameters and the effective rain-column heights in tropical areas for attenuation predictions in satellite communication link budget calculations
