Extending op amp capabilities by using a current- source power supply

A technique for realizing a versatile operational floating amplifier by using a standard op amp is presented. Such a building block greatly extends op amp capabilities. Especially in cases where grounded loads have to be current driven and where accurate low-noise termination impedances must be realized, this technique may be very useful.
