Abstract :
A method for calculating the induced perturbation currents due to the elliptic deformation of conducting cylinders in an ambient magnetic field is presented. The method is expressed in terms of perturbations in the flux linkages, with derived perturbation inductance coefficients. Examples applicable to superconducting generators are given.
