Update on Standards for Large Lead Storage Batteries for Generating Stations and Substations

This paper was prepared for presentation at the Joint Power Generation Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina October, 1979. It presents a brief background on the preparation of equipment standards for Nuclear Power Plants and describes in general four standard documents prepared for Large Lead Storage Batteries for Generating Stations and Substations. Three of these documents written as "Recommended Practices" cover maintenance, testing and replacement, installation, and sizing. The fourth document which is a "Standard" covers qualification for Nuclear Power Plants.
