Abstract :
After a brief discussion of a suitable method for sensitivity calculations, concerning the reference filter of a wave digital filter, a new method is presented for the fast and accurate calculation of multiplier coefficient sensitivities. This method is generally applicable for all types of wave digital filters. The derived formulas have a very simple structure, mainly involving voltage and current values in the reference filter; they can be used advantageously for continuous and discrete optimization of wave digital filters.
