Abstract :
In this tutorial the authors attempt to clarify the quantitative relationships among the three signal models, namely, the narrowband, complex envelope, and discrete-time complex sequence forms, commonly used in digital communication systems simulation and analysis. Consistent definitions are adopted in order to prevent confusion and potential resultant 3 dB error. Practical methods are derived for calibration of digital computer simulation quantities
