Abstract :
A novel method for finding the steady-st4te solution in HVDC analysis is reported. The method is fast, economical and accurate because it exploits fully the properties of periodicity-in-T, transposed periodicity-in-T/6, balanced 3-phase symmetry in the ac circuit, and the properties of linear circuit theory. The method contributes towards making the digital computer a working tool for HVDC analysis.
