  • Abstract
A novel concept for determining Direction of Arrival estimation (DOAE) of air target has been investigated. The methodology relies on the echo signal inducing a known spatially varying electric field. In Uniform Linear Array (ULA), the elevation angle is estimated by multiresolution ESPRIT (MRESPRIT) method. The efficacy of the proposed algorithm is verified by Monte Carlo simulation, DOAE accuracy is evaluated by closed-form Cramér-Rao bound (CRB). We use the MRESPRIT to decrease effectively the errors of estimation which caused by model´s nonlinearity. Our estimated results are better than those of the normal ESPRIT method [1]. Finally, the estimator performance has been enhanced by taking into account the nonlinearity effects.
