Abstract :
The function of a tray system in a process plant is to provide an efficient wiring method for power, lighting, instrumentation, communications, and grounding. This paper reviews tray system design, material selection, installation, and problem areas. The presentation is based on experience in the design and installation of complete tray systems for oil refineries, chemical plants, and power plants.
