Abstract
Electromagnetic transients simulation programs (EMTP-type programs) can run simulations in batch mode with different values of parameters. Still manual efforts are required to change values of many parameters. This paper proposes a method to automate the process of changing the values of such parameters and invoking the EMTP-type program externally. It reduces time and efforts involved in many complex power system studies. To show its effectiveness, the proposed method was implemented in two cases of transmission line fault analysis.
