Transformer Standards-Status and Trends

The extensive revisions made in transformer standards documents in the past few years are described; the rationale for some of the more significant changes are discussed. Specific attention is given to changes in short-circuit requirements and the coordination of overcurrent protective devices with power transformers. Lists of current and recently superseded or withdrawn transformer standards documents are included as well as identification of standards documents known to be planned for revision or development.
