Abstract :
The paper presents a statistical approach to the estimation of harmonic components in a power system. Mathematically it is based on singular value decomposition (SVD). Three different techniques are investigated: the standard averaged SVD, the total LS and double SVD. The results of numerical experiments illustrating the features of all these approaches are presented and discussed
