Abstract :
This paper introduces a frequency-controlled low-voltage, high-current inverter power supply suitable for use in spot welders. The design of the proposed power supply was based on the fact that the voltage drop caused by leakage inductance in the transformer is proportional to the excitation frequency. In this power supply, the inverter frequency can be varied to easily control load current. This paper compares the reflux current effect when the transformer is operated in inverter control with operation using an AC sine wave.
