Abstract :
The design of a linear phase digital filter bank for audio system frequency response equalization is shown. This filter bank uses frequency response masking and complementary filtering principles to achieve very sharp frequency response for each band, unity gain at all frequencies with no ripple when all the gain weightings of the filter bank outputs are unity, and extremely low hardware complexity.
