Abstract
This paper will review some of the problems in controlling electrical motive energy on an industrial machine during operational and maintenance intervention and will present an update on the proposed solutions. The problem and the proposed initial solutions were presented in a first paper, ldquoelectrical safety related isolation on industrial machines with multiple entry points.rdquo Originally, this paper was presented under the title ldquoequipment used for electrical safety-related isolation on industrial machines by William E. Anderson, P.E.rdquo at the 2003 Industrial and Commercial Power Systems (I & CPS) Department Conference in St. Louis, MO, Paper ldquoI & CPS 03-20.rdquo
