Computers and Devices for Communication (CODEC 04)

The present editorial introduces a special issue which contains selected papers from the international conference entitled ´Computers and Devices for Communication´ (CODEC 04). The conference was organised by the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics (INRAPHEL) at the University of Calcutta, and was was held during January 1 3, 2004 in Kolkata. The papers selected belong broadly to three categories: 1) devices and VLSI circuits, encompassing both compound semiconductor nanostructures and CMOS based ICs; 2) communication and electromagnetics; 3) computer and information processing systems.
