  • Abstract
The characteristic of multiresolution analysis is applied to the solution of the large dense equation systems arising from the analysis of nonlinear electromagnetic devices via integral methods. An integral formulation for nonlinear low-frequency problems, based on the construction of an equivalent network, is here used to illustrate the procedure and to investigate its effectiveness and reliability. The nonlinear system is discretized and the wavelet transform applied to the unknowns leads to a sparse system, hence to a more efficient numerical solution.
