  • Abstract
Every once in a while, the readership is reminded of the need for articles for the magazine and that time has come again, as the inventory of articles for consideration is approaching empty. About one out of three articles submitted is turned down, for various reasons, but often because the articles have a very narrow range of interest, and are more suited for publication in the transactions. Unlike transaction papers, which are most often new material and sometimes very theoretical, and are usually directed towards the specialist, magazine articles need to be written for the non-specialist in a way that can easily be understood.
