Abstract :
This paper presents a two-step numerical procedure based on a circuit-field mixed approach for the analysis of the electromagnetic field inside a penetrable three-dimensional (3-D) cylindrical structure stroked by a direct lightning current. The proposed method is validated both by measurements and by the commercial software "Maxwell 3D" of Ansoft, demonstrating that it can produce accurate results.
