Abstract :
An hybrid optoelectronic approach based on a tuned modulator and a recirculating cavity is proposed to implement RF photonic filters with Q factors over 3000 and also, comb radio frequency filters for other specific applications. The highest Q factor to date of a microwave photonic filter is reported.
