Abstract :
We discuss the electromagnetic boundary value problem coupled to external circuits. The relative homology groups are a concept that provides a systematic theory for this class of problems and enable its general automated treatment. We present techniques for computation of the homology groups and introduce excision, a useful principle for the computations.
