Abstract :
A method by which sinusoidal pulsewidth modulation can be implemented on the delta inverter is described. Analysis of the resulting waveforms, in terms of the exponential form of the Fourier series, is provided, along with a comparison of harmonic content with a conventional sinusoidally modulated waveform. Experimental results consist of temperature rise measurments for an induction motor under delta inverter and mains supply conditions, voltage harmonic measurements, and motor current waveforms.
