Abstract
The major drawback of the adaptive compensation design in the previous paper (2002) in terms of parameter identification is that the criterion for parameter convergence cannot be checked in advance. The purpose of this paper aims at circumventing such difficulties by providing a priori verifiable sufficient conditions that guarantee the asymptotic stability of the parametric equilibrium.
