Abstract :
This paper describes some fundamental properties of active four-terminal linear networks. Some considerations are given on elementary active four-terminal networks, which are defined as networks having more than two zero elements out of four in their fundamental matrices. These four-terminal networks are classified according to their properties and their relation to each other. Some examples are given in which such networks are applicable; the networks can also be used to represent vacuum tube or transistor circuits.
