Abstract :
Two partially filled cavity-resonator techniques based on accurate theoretical solutions have been described for the evaluation of the real parts of the components of the permeability tensor. In this method the specimens are in the form of thin slabs which either are placed symmetrically along the end-walls of a rectangular waveguide cavity or along its center. These samples are not required to have an accurate fit in the longitudinal direction and thereby result in simplicity in specimen preparation. The principles of this method along with experimental measurements have been described in this paper.
