Abstract
The use of two contiguous rings having oppositely directed circular magnetizations is shown to effectively eliminate the ambiguous effect of ambient axial magnetic fields on the indication of torque as found with single ring transducers. An experimental two ring transducer showed less than 1% of the field sensitivity of a same overall size single ring design while retaining 82% of the sensitivity to torque
