  • Abstract
The objective of this article is to help readers better prepare to recruit smart people to work for them.Three case studies can help illustrate the right and wrong way to hire a smart staff. The first describes how to identify technical people with good technical backgrounds, the second demonstrates how IT people without personal skills are worse than those without technical skill, and the third shows how a potential applicant might or might not be willing to work for you.
