Abstract
Results of theoretical and first experimental investigations of a new device for the realization of variable standard values of the voltage standing-wave ratio (VSWR) are presented. The results show that the device, which consists of a Y-type waveguide power divider, an adjustable sliding short-circuit, and a matched load, can be used as a standard mismatch generating arbitrary values of the VSWR from 2 to 10 with small uncertainties.
