Abstract
This paper presents a linear variable-reluctance machine with magnetic-flux decoupled windings which is applicable for the automation of large scale linear propulsion system. Along with experimental investigations, a three-dimensional dynamic modelling will be provided by using Fourier expansion and state-space approach for detailed verifications
