Abstract :
In this paper, we use Newton´s method to compute intrinsic permeability from measured or extrinsic permeability in soft ferromagnetic materials. We first solve the non-linear intrinsic permeability equation, then we evaluate solution sensitivity with respect to experimental input data. We show that measured data are excellent starting points for the first Newton iteration, leading to an almost sure convergence
