Abstract :
An algorithm for measuring the attenuation and envelope delay distortions on a telephone channel is proposed. Digital signal processing techniques are used to reduce the complexity of the algorithm to make it appropriate for microprocessor implementation. The test sequence needs to be transmitted for only few tens of milliseconds.
