Abstract :
The author proposes a structure of a two-level fuzzy classifier that can use both data analysis and expert opinion. The correspondence between medical diagnostic tasks and fuzzy pattern recognition is discussed. The description of the scheme, with an experimental study on a real problem from aviation medicine are reported. The results provide experimental support of the improvement of the classification accuracy.<>
