Abstract :
The conditions for balance of an ac Wheatstone bridge as commonly shown in practice are simplified for ease of design and handling. As a result the measurements are less accurate. To improve this state, the writer has developed twenty-eight pairs of equations based on rigorous solutions. They were further refined by adopting a new set of parameters: ¿, ¿, and ¿. An example is given to illustrate the use of these equations in any balanced state on the ¿ -¿ coordinate plane.
