Abstract :
A new principle for absolute voltage division-multiplication is presented. The principle is based on a short-term capacitance reference method. With this method, the realized voltage ratio does not depend on the capacitance of the capacitors used in the divider-multiplier network, but depends exclusively on the configuration of the network. This means that the voltage ratio is insensitive to aging of the components and that calibration is not necessary and not even possible. To verify the principle, a prototype of the divider-multiplier has been built. The measured results are presented in this paper.
