Abstract :
The paper describes a new method in calculating sensitivity factors of tie lines when a line outage occurs in the external system of an interconnected power system. The method incorporates reciprocity and sparse matrix inversion to reduce the computation time for tie-line sensitivity factors. The paper presents the method and the results of the tests performed to illustrate the effectiveness of the method
