Abstract
An improved and inexpensive circuit using a thermistor in a logarithmic network is presented, whereby it is possible to realize a linear temperature/voltage conversion over a wide dynamic range with an output which is independent of fluctuations in ambient temperature. Test results are given to support the theoretical conclusions. The attractiveness of the scheme lies in its simplicity and the fact that the circuit can be assembled easily by using inexpensive off-the-shelf components.
