Abstract :
This work discusses Robert Jameson Van de Graff, a physicist at Princeton University (NJ, USA) and the history of the Van de Graff generator. The operation and applications of the Van de Graff generator are discussed briefly. Finally, various evolutions of the Van de Graff generator are also discussed.
