Abstract :
A method for high-speed all optical Manchester encoded signal generation is proposed using micro-ring resonator. In the present paper the advantages of ring resonator based switch have been exploited to design an integrated all-optical Manchester encoder circuit. The performance of the circuit is evaluated through numerical simulation, which confirms its feasibility in terms of the choice of the critical parameters. The proposed scheme has been theoretically demonstrated for a Manchester code generator. The proposed circuit is more compact, simple and will be helpful in designing all optical communication circuit in near future.
