Abstract :
Being president of your Society is challenging, exciting, and rewarding. Well, except maybe for all the meetings I now attend. And then there are my duties to IEEE. There are the occasional emergencies; those aren¿t much fun either. But I get to meet many of you and try out some of my theories and exercise some long-held opinions, and everyone is pretty understanding, even when I occasionally make mistakes.
