Abstract :
We have developed a multichannel microelectrode that has 24 recording sites, spaced at 85 ¿m intervals along the edge of its tip. The sites are arranged in one of two ways: either as a 1 Ã24 linear array along one edge or as a 2 Ã12 array along both edges. In the first, the sites span 2 mm while in the second, the sites span 1 mm Ã135 ¿m.
