Abstract :
This paper reports the establishment of a computer-aided design course for undergraduate students of engineering science at Exeter University. In the first part the background against which the course was developed is outlined, together with its relationship to other courses in the Department of Engineering Science. The second part discusses the opportunities for more specialist courses in computer-aided engineering evolving from the experience of running the CAD course.
