Abstract
This article describes a computer-aided design system developed for the plant and process industries, including related areas such as nuclear engineering, power plant and marine engineering. The system is organised in a modular fashion around a software platform called the Assembly Modeller, which allows solid models to be assembled together in three-dimensional space.
