  • Abstract
    The application areas for vision equipment in manufacturing are numerous, although many obstacles remain in widely applying this technology. This article considers some of the problems of using visual information in computer integrated manufacturing systems and introduces the concept of a multi-layered model for vision which can be adopted to simplify integration and installation.
